If you have configured backups in Kloxo using “Backup Home” option, you may need to restore from it in future.

The restore process is not very intuitive to start with. We are providing quick steps to get your restore done.

You need to follow these steps for restore:

1. First make sure that the backup has been copied on the sever hosting the website, in following directory

 /home/kloxo/client/<username>/__backup

If you have configured ftp backups then you may have to ftp the backed up content to this directory. Make sure the backup file has proper permissions.

2. In Kloxo, go to “Backup Home”. On the first tab, on the bottom you see option “Restore from file for <username>”.

3. Click on the folder icon.

4. Now you will see the backup copy that you copied in step 1.

5. Now click “Select” in front of the file name from which you want to restore.

6. Now click “Start Restore Process”

Now the restore is in progress. You can come back to “Backup Home” and see progress of the restore. Usually it is completed within a few minutes.
